 Role on the Team 

Assistant researcher. I was tasked with helping create the user interview guide, take notes, pictures, and run the video camera during interviews, and ensured all materials were ready for standard paperwork and cultural probes. I also assisted in synthesizing the research and presenting it to stakeholders within the company.

 Overview of Project 

• Worked with a team of stakeholders to explain the process of our design research strategy so we may better understand their final customers.

 

• On this project team I assisted with initial screenings of potential interview candidates, helping create questionnaires and analyzing the short interviews to decide on candidate viability in the needs assessment project.

 

• Managed the creation of cultural probes for our interviews, gathering photos and printing up material, as well as sending the pre-interview work to our candidates.

 

• Managed the administrative and technical details of preparing for interviews, such as managing the technology used (cameras, audio recorders, video cameras, etc), keeping track of candidate data and compensation for each interview, and planning travel.

 

• Worked with other researchers in editing the field guide to meet the goals of the project.

 

• Conducted and assisted in two hour interviews across the United States.

 

• Lead videography and photographing throughout interviews.

• Played a major role in interview analysis and synthesis of all qualitative data, compiling the data into a presentation for stakeholder team and higher-level board meetings.
